Winners Announced in the 'Think Fresh' Soup Recipe Contest

The first annual Custom Culinary® ‘Think Fresh’ Soup Recipe Contest took place January 10th through February 28th, 2013.  In honor of National Soup Month in January our ‘Think Fresh’ Soup Recipe Contest asked operators to submit their favorite soup recipe featuring a Custom Culinary® Gold Label or Master’s Touch® Base. We were astounded by the overwhelming number of submissions we received. Our culinary team carefully reviewed every entry to determine our winners.

The winners are:

Grand Prize Winner - $1,500:
Sam Ford, Couch Restaurants- University of Oklahoma
               Recipe: Spicy Thai Chicken Noodle Soup
2nd Place Winner - $500:
George Heilman, Director Nutritional Services- Shriner’s Hospital
               Recipe: Spanish Garbanzo Bean Soup

Honorable Mentions - $50 American Express Gift Cards:
Gregory Gefroh, Executive Chef- University of North Dakota
               Recipe: White Chicken Chili
Adam Hegstad, Executive Chef- Coeur d Alene Casino and Resort
               Recipe: White Lobster Chili
William Goeke, Restaurant Manager- Mount Airy Casino
