Ingredients

Amount Ingredients
2 cups Mashed Sweet Potatoes (from Baked Sweet Potatoes)
1 1/2 tsp. Custom Culinary® Gold Label Chicken Base
16 oz. Water
1/2 Orange Zest, From Large Orange
1 cup Low Fat Milk
To Taste Salt
To Taste Black Pepper, Ground
1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
1/2 tsp. Smoke Paprika

Recommended Product: 9117 Gold Label Chicken Base

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Pierce sweet potatoes & bake until tender, about 1 hour. Let potatoes cool then remove the potato skin.
  2. Combine water and Gold Label Chicken Base to make chicken stock.
  3. Add chicken stock, orange zest and milk. Blend until smooth, using a blender. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add smoked paprika, chili powder and cook until simmering. Stir occasionally.
  5. Add the garnish if desired and enjoy!

Chef's Tips

Optional: Garnish finished soup with diced avocado, seasoned tortilla strips and a squeeze of lime juice.
