Amount Ingredients
2 lbs. Onions, Diced
1/4 cup Garlic, Minced
1 cup Vegetable Oil
2 qts. Long Grain Rice
1 Tbsp. Black Pepper
1/3 cup Chili Powder
2 lbs. Mushrooms, Canned, Stem & Pieces
2 lbs. Chorizo Sausage, Sliced
1/2 cup Custom Culinary® Gold Label Chicken Base
2 1/2 qts. Water

  1. In a 2 gallon sauce pot, heat vegetable oil over medium high heat. Add onions and garlic. Saute 3-5 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add rice, black pepper, chili powder, mushrooms and chorizo. Sauté 5-7 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring frequently.
  3. Add water and Gold Label Chicken Base, mixing well.
  4. Cover and bake at 350°F for approximately 35-45 minutes until rice is tender.
