Amount Ingredients
1 gal. Water, Hot
2 tsp. Saffron
4 oz. Custom Culinary® Gold Label Shrimp Base
8 lbs. Shrimp, Peeled and Deveined
4 oz. Olive Oil
8 Small Onions, Diced
1/2 cup Garlic, Minced
1 # 10 can Canned Tomatoes, with Juice
1 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
2 lbs. Arabica Rice
2 lbs. Artichoke Hearts, Quartered
2 lbs. Peas, Frozen
2 cups Red Bell Pepper, Roasted, Julienne

  1. In a large braising pan heat olive oil over medium high heat. Add onions and garlic. Sauté 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  2. Add shrimp. Sauté 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Add water, saffron, Gold Label Shrimp Base, tomatoes and red pepper, mixing well.
  4. Add rice mixing well. Cover and gently boil 17-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until rice is tender.
  5. Add artichokes, peas and red peppers, mixing well. Cover and cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
