Ingredients
- 3 lbs ground beef
- 2 cups onions, fine chopped
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 qt water
- 1/3 cup Custom Culinary® Gold Label Beef Base, No MSG Added
- 1 qt red kidney beans, canned, drained, rinsed
- 3 cups tomatoes, canned, crushed in puree
- 1 Tbsp sugar (optional)

Preparation Instructions
- In an 8 Liter (2 gallon) cook pot over medium high heat, cook ground beef and onions until beef is browned and onions are translucent, approx. 10-15 minutes.
- Add flour and chili powder, blend thoroughly and cook 2-3 minutes stirring constantly.
- Add water, Gold Label Beef Base, beans and tomatoes, mix well. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and gently simmer 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add sugar if desired to lower acidy and balance all flavors.
