Directions
- In a large roasting pan or tilt skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Add beef and brown evenly, stirring frequently.
- Add onions and garlic. Saute 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add flour, mixing well. Cook 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add tomato paste, Custom Culinary® Gold Label Beef Base, water, bay leaves and thyme, mixing well. Braise in a 325°F oven for 1 hour. Remove bay leaves.
- Add celery, carrots, potatoes, and tomatoes. Braise 45 minutes at 325°F.
- Add peas, mixing well. Cook another 5-7 minutes.
