5 lbs. Pork Shoulder, Boneless, Trimmed
2 oz. Vegetable Oil
16 oz. Custom Culinary® Gold Label Fire Roasted Ranchero Sauce

Directions

  1. In a large braising pan over medium high heat, sear pork shoulder on all sides in vegetable oil until evenly browned.
  2. Place in ceramic crock pot or covered braising pan.
  3. Pour Gold Label Fire Roasted Ranchero Sauce into crock pot. Cover and turn on high. Let braise 6-7 hours or until meat is very tender. (If oven braising, cook at 250°F for 5-6 hours.)
  4. Pull/shred meat and allow to cool in the cooking liquid to fully absorb flavors.

Chef's Tips

Serve on mini rolls or in a fresh Latin wrap with your favorite ingredients: shredded lettuce, grilled peppers, lime, cilantro, avocado, sour cream, etc.
