Harissa Pale Ale Cheese Steak Hoagie

Familiar ingredients brought together in an innovative format for a twist on a classic dish. Featuring Custom Culinary® PanRoast® Beef Flavored Gravy Mix and Custom Culinary® Gold Label Harissa, Harissa Pale Ale Cheese Steak Hoagie is made up of beef, bell peppers, red onions, green onions on a hoagie roll.

What You'll Need

Amount Ingredients
1 oz. Vegetable Oil
5 oz. Beef Round, Raw, Shaved Thin
1-1/2 oz. Red and Green Bell Pepper, Sliced Strips
1 oz. Red Onions, Sliced
3/4 oz. Custom Culinary® Gold Label Pale Ale Cheese Sauce, Warm
1/2 oz. Custom Culinary® Gold Label Harissa Sauce
2 Tbsp. Green Onion, Sliced Thin
1 ea. 12" Hoagie Roll

  1. Preheat a flat top griddle to 350°F. Put the vegetable oil in two spots on the griddle. Place the shaved beef on on spot and the peppers and onions on the second spot on the preheated grill. Cook for a total of approx. 3-4 minutes turning 3 times to assure even cooking. Always cook to well done, 165°F internal temperature measured by a meat thermometer. If desired, season the meat and vegetables with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. While the meat and vegetables are is cooking, butter the inside of the hoagie roll and place on the hot griddle until lightly toasted, then remove and reserve.
  3. In a small bowl, blend the warm Gold Label Pale Ale Cheese Sauce with the Gold Label Harissa Sauce and mix until evenly blended.
  4. To Assemble the Sandwich: Place the cooked meat on the toasted hoagie roll, add the cooked peppers and onions. Evenly top with the warm Harissa Pale Ale Cheese Sauce. Garnish with the sliced green onions.
