Slow Braised Pork Shoulder with Latin-Style Citrus Chili Sauce

Amount Ingredients
5 lbs. Pork Shoulder, Boneless, Trimmed
2 oz. Vegetable Oil
2 cups Custom Culinary® Gold Label Latin-Style Citrus Chili Sauce
PREPARATION

  1. In a large braising pan over medium high heat, sear pork shoulder on all sides in vegetable oil until evenly browned.
  2. Place in ceramic crock pot or covered braising pan.
  3. Pour Gold Label Latin-Style Citrus Chili Sauce into crock pot. Cover and turn on high. Let braise 6-7 hours until meat is very tender (If oven braising, cook at 250° F for 5-6 hours).
  4. Pull/shred meat and allow to cool in the cooking liquid to fully absorb the flavors.
