Creole Sauce

A robust sauce to add intense flavors to any dish. Featuring Custom Culinary® Whisk & Serve® Demi-Glace Sauce Mix, Creole Sauce combines the rich flavors of onion, celery, green peppers, tomato, hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, oregano, and basil.


What You'll Need

Amount Ingredients
1/4 cup Olive Oil
4 cups Onions, Small Diced
3 cups Celery, Small Diced
3 cups Green Peppers, Small Diced
1/4 cup Tomato Paste
3 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 cup Hot Pepper Sauce
32 oz. Tomatoes, Canned, Diced
2 Tbsp. Black Pepper
1/4 cup Thyme, Whole
1/4 cup Oregano, Whole
1/4 cup Basil, Leaf
3 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
3 qts. Water
15 oz. Custom Culinary® Whisk & Serve® Demi-Glace Sauce Mix
PREPARATION

  1. Heat the oil. Add onions, celery and peppers. Sauté until tender.
  2. Add tomato paste, worcestershire, hot sauce, tomatoes and spices.
  3. Add the water and Whisk & Serve Demi-Glace Sauce Mix.
  4. Bring to 195ºF.
  5. Remove from heat and chill below 40ºF or hold above 140ºF.
