Toasted Southwest Bread Croutons

Day old bread never tasted so good. Featuring Custom Culinary® Master's Touch® Southwest Flavor Concentrate, Toasted Southwest Bread Croutons are made of American Indian Style fry bread, vegetable oil, and southwest flavoring.

Yield: Approx. 1 quart

Amount Ingredients
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil or Butter
2 Tbsp. Custom Culinary® Master's Touch® Southwest Flavor Concentrate
1 Quart American Indian Style Fry Bread, cut into ½” cubes Or your favorite Artisanal Bakery Bread
PREPARATION

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, blend vegetable oil and Master's Touch® Southwest Flavor Concentrate with a wire whip.
  2. Add cubed bread and evenly coat all pieces.
  3. In a large sauté pan, over medium high heat, add seasoned bread and cook 5-8 minutes until golden on all sides. Stir occasionally.
  4. Remove from stove and place in a container, cool.
  5. Cover until service.
  6. For Larger Amounts, toss the bread cubes with seasoning and place on a foil lined sheet pan and toast in a 350°F oven for 12-15 minutes to desired color.
