Drunken Jalapeno Avocado Torta burger

A twist on the classic burger that will bring your taste buds to life featuring Custom Culinary® Gold Label Jalapeno Relish. The Drunken Jalapeno Avocado Torta Burger consists of tequila-spiked jalapeno relish, beef patty, colby jack cheese, avocado, red onion, and lettuce inside of a torta roll.

Yield: 1 burger

Amount Ingredients
  Drunken Jalapeno Relish
16 oz. Custom Culinary® Gold Label Jalapeno Relish
3 oz. Tequila
  Avocado Torta Burger
6 oz. Ground Beef Burger
1 oz. Colby Jack Cheese
2 oz. Avocado, Peeled, Sliced
1-1/2 oz. Red Onion, Sliced
1/2 oz. Leaf Lettuce
1 ea Torta Roll

  1. In a small bowl, combine ingredients for the Drunken Jalapeno Relish. Cover and set aside until needed.  You will have enough for several burgers.  Refrigerate the remaining relish until needed.
  2. Preheat a flat top griddle to 350°F. Place the beef patty on preheated grill. Cook for a total of approx. 12 – 14 minutes turning once to assure even cooking. Top with the cheese and cook till melted.
  3. While the burger is cooking, split and butter the inside of the bun halves and place on the hot griddle until lightly toasted.
  4. To assemble the burger, place the cooked burger patty on the bottom bun, top with Drunken Jalapeno Relish, red onion and lettuce.
  5. Add the toasted top bun.
