Latin Citrus Chili Burger

A juicy, grilled beef patty brushed with bold Latin Citrus Chili Sauce, layered with sharp cheddar, crisp lettuce, tomato, avocado, and pickled onions—finished with a creamy Latin chili aioli on a toasted brioche bun. A SoCal flavor bomb with Latin flair.

1 each hamburger bun, toasted (brioche or potato-style)
1 each 4 oz seasoned beef patty (80/20 blend)
1½ Tbsp Custom Culinary® True Foundations® Latin-Style Citrus Chili Sauce (divided)
   
1 slice sharp cheddar cheese
¼ cup shredded iceberg lettuce
2 slices Roma tomato
2-3 slices fresh avocado (or 1 oz smashed avocado)
1 Tbsp pickled red onions
  Optional: 2-3 jalapeño slices (fresh or pickled)
  Optional: 1 tsp chopped fresh cilantro (garnish)

 
PREPARATION

  1. Place the beef patty on a flat top or grill. As it cooks, brush both sides with ½ Tbsp True Foundations® Latin Citrus Chili Sauce. This allows the sauce to caramelize and infuse the patty with bold citrus-chili flavor.
  2. In the final minute of cooking, place the cheddar slice on the patty and cover (if possible) to melt.
  3. Aioli Spread: Mix 1 Tbsp True Foundations® Latin Citrus Chili Sauce with 1 Tbsp mayonnaise to create the Latin Citrus Chili aioli.
  4. Lightly toast both sides of the bun until golden and warm.
  5. Assemble:
    1. Bottom bun: Spread half of the aioli. Add shredded lettuce and tomato slices.
    2. Middle: Place the sauced and cheesy patty on top. Add avocado, pickled onions, and optional jalapeños.
    3. Top bun: Spread remaining aioli and close the sandwich. Garnish with cilantro if desired.
