Korean Bowl with Roasted Garlic Scented Rice

Featuring Custom Culinary® Korean-Style Sweet Heat Sauce, Master’s Touch® Reduced Sodium Vegetable Base, and Master’s Touch® Roasted Garlic Flavor Concentrate, Korean BBQ Bowl with Roasted Garlic Scented Rice features short grain brown rice together with a variety of fresh vegetables and a grilled chicken breast.


What You'll Need

Recipe Ingredients
2 cups Short Grain Brown Rice
4 cups Water
3 tsp Master’s Touch® Reduced Sodium Vegetable Base
1 tsp Master’s Touch® Roasted Garlic Flavor Concentrate
1/2 cup Onion, diced
2 ea  Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
1 ea Red Bell Pepper, julienne cut
4 ea Scallions, bias cut
1ea Carrot, bias cut
20 ea  Asparagus spears, peeled
16 oz Custom Culinary® Korean-Style Sweet Heat Sauce
1ea Red onion, halved and sliced
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
1 tsp White Vinegar
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp  Ground Sumac
1/2 tsp  Toasted Sesame Seeds 
1 oz Micro Cilantro
PREPARATION

Garlic-scented Brown Rice
  1. Prepare cooking liquid by dissolving the Vegetable Base and Roasted Garlic Concentrate in water 
  2. Sauté onions and combine with rinsed rice and vegetable roasted garlic cooking liquid
  3. Brig to a boil, reduce to simmer and let cook for 45-50 minutes until liquid is absorbed
  4. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes
  5. Fluff with fork and serve
Chicken Breast
  1. Season both chicken breast with salt and pepper and grill, basting with some of the Korean-Style Sweet Heat Sauce 
Pickled Onions
  1. Slice red onion and mix with lemon juice, vinegar, salt and sumac
  2. Set aside and let pickle
Vegetables
  1. Prepare and cut all vegetables  
  2. Sauté Asparagus, carrots and red peppers and season with salt and pepper
Assemble Bowl
  1. Place brown rice in a shallow bowl
  2. Arrange vegetables and grilled chicken on top on the bowl
  3. Add additional Korean-Style Sweet Heat Sauce 
  4. Garnish with micro cilantro and toasted sesame seeds and serve
