Mediterranean Style Macaroni and Cheese with Harissa

Amount Ingredients
2 lbs. Macaroni
2 gal. Water
1 gal. Milk
1/2 cup Custom Culinary® Gold Label Harissa
2 lbs. Velveeta Cheese
2 Tbsp. Custom Culinary® Gold Label Ham Base, No MSG Added
2 cups Bread Crumbs
2 Tbsp. Margarine or Butter, Melted
PREPARATION

  1. Boil water. Cook macaroni and drain. Hold on the side.
  2. In a separate pot, warm the milk. Gradually add Master's Touch® Cream Soup Base to milk until smooth. Do not boil.
  3. Add velveeta to cream soup and stir until cheese melts.
  4. Add Gold Label Harissa and Gold Label Ham Base until uniform.
  5. Pour cream soup mixture over macaroni and mix carefully.
  6. Scale into two greased 12x20x2 inch baking pans (1 lb per pan).
  7. In a bowl, mix bread crumbs and melted margarine or butter. Sprinkle over macaroni and cheese (8 oz per pan).
  8. Bake at 350ºF for about 20 minutes until 180ºF or until top is golden brown.
