Featuring Custom Culinary® Gold Label True Foundations Beef Stock Concentrate and Custom Culinary® Gold Label True Foundations Vegetable Stock Concentrate, Tuscan Herb Hanger Steak combines the savory flavors of hanger steak, red wine vinegar, garlic, ginger, green onion, shiitake mushrooms, and polenta.

Amount Ingredients
4 ea. Hanger Steak, 8 oz.
2 oz. Custom Culinary® Gold Label True Foundations Beef Stock Concentrate
1/4 cup Olive Oil
1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
2 tsp. Garlic, Minced
1 Tbsp. Ginger
1 cup Green Onions, Sliced Thin
2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Black Pepper, Fresh Ground
1 quart Shiitake Mushrooms, Sliced
1/4 cup Custom Culinary® Gold Label True Foundations Vegetable Stock Concentrate
2 cups Polenta
PREPARATION

  1. Combine Gold Label True Foundations Beef Stock Concentrate, olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, ginger, and green onions with hanger steak. Let marinade overnight.
  2. Remove hanger steak from marinade and season with salt and pepper then grill to medium rare.
  3. Sauté mushrooms in oil and glaze with Gold Label True Foundations Vegetable Stock Concentrate.
  4. Make polenta according to package instructions. Substitute Gold Label True Foundations Vegetable Stock Concentrate (2 tsp: 8 oz water) for liquid in polenta method.
  5. Serve hanger steak along side of prepared polenta and garnish with shiitake mushrooms
