Old Fashioned Vegetable Beef Soup

3 qts. Hot Water
12 oz. Custom Culinary® Gold Label Beef Base
3 lbs. Round Steak, Browned, Medium Diced
3 gal. Hot Water
1 # 10 can Canned Whole Tomatoes, Small Diced
2 lbs. Potatoes, Large Diced
1 lb. Carrots, Sliced 1/8" Thick
1 lb. Onions, Small Diced
1 lb. Celery, Medium Diced
1 lb. Yellow Squash, Large Diced
1 lb. Frozen Whole Kernel Corn
1 lb. Zucchini, Large Diced
1 lb. Frozen Baby Lima Beans
2 tsp. Black Pepper
PREPARATION

  1. In a 10 gallon steam jacketed kettle or 8 gallon sauce pot, combine water, Custom Culinary® Gold Label Beef Base and meat. Simmer over medium heat loosely covered for 40 minutes.
  2. Add water, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, onions and celery. Heat to boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and gently simmer until vegetables are tender, about 20 to 30 minutes.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients and continue boiling until vegetables are tender, about 8 to 10 minutes.
